Rum brand Bacardí has added a Mango Chile expression to its flavoured portfolio, inspired by a popular Mexican snack, the Spirits Business reports.
35% ABV rum is said to capture the sweet and spicy flavours of a popular Mexican fruit snack that sees fresh mango sprinkled with Tajin seasoning and lime juice.
“As a leader in the rum category, we’re always looking to push the boundaries of what our rum can do. The sweet and spicy mixture of Mango Chile is the perfect flavour expression for summer, especially as an easy-to-drink chilled shot. It’s smooth, crisp and tastes like it came straight from your local fruit cart,” said Maria Galis, Bacardí global innovations director.
Mango Chile can also be used to create a series of cocktails ‘for any warm weather occasion’, adding a ‘hot twist’ to classic Bacardí serves such as the Mojito and the Rum Rita.
